Fiber feeding Equipment
We have several Fiber Feeding Equipment to improve job-site safety, and others to also increase accuracy and automate the fiber addition process, eliminating human error, ultimately saving time and money.
FORTA-FI fiber can be fed manually through pre-dosed bags or through either the Little Shot (Venturi system / loose fibers), Big Shot (Venturi system / 0.5 KG bags) or Voyager automated system.
SURFACE-EXT fibers can be fed through the Ranger fiber dispenser directly mounted on the back of the slurry or micro surfacing truck

LITTLE SHOT
The Little Shot system provides ultra-fast delivery of fibers with minimal maintenance. Designed to enhance safety and efficiency, it ensures rapid and accurate fiber transport from ground level to upper-level systems. The FORTA-FI bags are emptied in its funnel continuously depending on plant speed. It only needs a 3/8” compressed air hose at 90 PSI. The fibers are transported directly into the mixing drum through this venturi system.
The Little Shot is used in those instances:
- when there is no RAP addition, and we cannot put the fiber bags straight on the RAP belt;
- if there is no RAP collar;
- if fibers are injected very close to where AC (Bitumen) is added. This gives fibers more time to mix.
BIG SHOT
The Big Shot system quickly and safely transports synthetic fibers from ground-level storage to upper-level batch or continuous plants. It significantly reduces labor and production time, promotes a safer work environment by minimizing climbing and lifting, and requires minimal maintenance.
The Big Shot is used in those instances:
- when there is no RAP addition, and we cannot put the fiber bags straight on the RAP belt;
- if there is no access to the RAP belt or for safety reasons;
- if batch plant mixer does not have sufficient room around it or it is very high, or plant is very dusty or hot.
